Impressions Design was started by Ashley Hinds. Ashley has been a speech-language pathologist working with children and young adults with special needs for over 14 years. While working within the school systems, Ashley began working within vocational programs at the high school level. She became passionate about preparing her students to enter the working environment following their graduation from high school. However, this is where Ashley began to see a breakdown happen. She noticed that there were very few jobs that were suited for her students with special needs, especially those who were nonverbal. This is where the idea of Impressions Design began.

Impressions Design is a company that prides itself on employing adults with special needs working alongside support staff to create quality t-shirts. The working environment at Impressions Design will be sensitive to those with special needs. For example, the use of dimmer lighting, quiet working environment, use of visuals, and sensory breaks (just to name a few) will be implemented to ensure that all employees will be comfortable while at work. At Impressions Design, we will continue to promote inclusion of all employees.
